    Transforming a mall into a mixed-use destination

The surrounding demographics and the nearby light rail stop made Hunt Valley Town Center a prime candidate for redevelopment.

Phase one of the latest project kicked off in 2019 with a $150 million renovation of a 13.75-acre parcel on the property. The primary component was a multifamily retrofit in partnership with Avalon Bay to build over 300 upscale apartment units with various community amenities. The units were partially constructed as a wraparound existing retail, and additional phase one retail enhancements included a new Wegmans and 30,000 sf of ground floor retail.

The apartments are fully constructed with phase two of the residential component underway, which will deliver 178 senior living units.
